Building Bridges provides a supportive & structured environment designed to create opportunities for healthy growth & development
Families play a critical role in the ultimate success of our students. That’s why we have designed our Family Conferences to bring all our families together to share experiences, connect with each other, and support each other on their journey toward healing. We run two conferences each year, in August and March. Each offers its own unique opportunities to understand your son’s journey and gain support from other Bridges Families.
The Importance of Family Conferences
Family conferences provide a unique opportunity for families to learn about their loved one’s progress and treatment plan. During these conferences, our experienced staff will share information about the patient’s therapy, medications, and overall well-being. This allows families to understand the challenges their loved one faces and the steps they are taking to overcome them.
In addition, the family conferences provide a platform for families to share their own experiences and perspectives. This open exchange of ideas and support helps families to better understand the impact that addiction and mental health conditions have on their loved ones and themselves.
The Power of the Group
By bringing all families together, our family conferences foster a sense of community and support. This is particularly important for families who may be feeling isolated and overwhelmed by the challenges they face. By connecting with others who are in similar situations, families can find comfort and encouragement, and begin to see that they are not alone.
In addition, the family conferences provide a unique opportunity for families to work together to support their loved ones in their recovery. By sharing their experiences and perspectives, families can learn from each other and develop new strategies for supporting their loved ones.
How Family Conferences Help Family Dynamics
The family conferences are designed to help improve family dynamics and promote healing for both the patients and their families. By providing a safe and supportive environment for families to share their experiences, the family conferences help families to better understand each other and build stronger relationships.
In addition, the family conferences provide an opportunity for families to learn new coping strategies and develop effective communication skills. These skills can be applied to their daily lives and help to improve overall family dynamics.
We believe that the family conferences are an essential component of the recovery process for both our students and their families. We hope that by participating in these conferences, families will gain a better understanding of the recovery journey and develop the tools they need to support their loved ones and each other.
If you have any questions about the family conferences, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to seeing you at the next family conference!
